Note: This seminar, including the Leadership Session, is being recorded to become Dr. Tripp's next Bible Study on DVD to be sold worldwide.

This series/seminar may be thought of as a “how to” follow-up to Shepherding a Child’s Heart. There are two parts of the shepherding process: 1) formative instruction and 2) corrective discipline. Often, parents do not spend enough time on what we are calling formative instruction – instruction that forms or shapes a child’s thinking about reality. Formative instruction is what makes sense of the standards and values we hold out for children in times of correction and discipline. In that sense it is the biblical world-view or conceptual foundation for corrective discipline. Instructing a child’s heart both encourages parents with this part of their calling and provides some of the essential content of that instruction.

"With the plethora of material on parenting and the family, it is surprising-and distressing-to see how few books are genuinely biblical. Here is a refreshing exception. Tedd Tripp offers solid, trustworthy, biblical help for parents. If you are looking for the right perspective and practical help, you won't find a more excellent guide."

--John MacArthur
Pastor, author, radio Bible teacher

"Dr. Tripp's material on parenting is the clearest, most biblically framed, and most helpful that I have ever encountered. It has become the backbone of my own parenting. I am not alone, either. His seminar tapes are by far the most frequently requested biblical teaching materials among my students, counselees, and friends."
